Monica Thissen is an associate with Parker, Kern, Nard and Wenzel. Her primary focus is Workers’ Compensation Defense.

Ms. Thissen is a life long resident of Fresno.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Thissen worked as a legal assistant in a workers’ compensation defense firm in Fresno.

In 2007, Ms. Thissen began her secondary education at San Joaquin College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor in three years.  During school she worked as a mediator in the Family Law Mediation Clinic, assisting parties in settling their property disputes with regard to their dissolution of marriage.  Ms. Thissen also interned at a private family law firm where she gained valuable knowledge dealing with dissolution and child custody matters.  She is a member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity where she served as the Social Chairperson and fundraiser in 2009.

Ms. Thissen is admitted to practice before all the Courts of the State of California and the United States District  Court for the Eastern District.  She is a member of the  California Bar Association, Fresno County Bar Association, Fresno County Young Lawyers and Fresno County Women Lawyers.
