Rick Kiger is a shareholder with Parker, Kern, Nard & Wenzel and practices with the firm's workers compensation department.
Mr. Kiger earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration at California State University, Hayward and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, emphasizing labor and employment law.
As a workers compensation attorney since 1998, Mr. Kiger has been involved in multi-party litigation, public entity cases, complex mixed civil/workers compensation cases, and highly confidential (Hepatitis C and HIV+) compensation cases. Currently, he is a legal advisor to the Fresno Industrial Claims Association (FICA).
Prior to joining Parker, Kern, Nard and Wenzel in 2000, Mr. Kiger was a workers compensation applicant's attorney in Sacramento from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, Mr. Kiger worked for the State of California, Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) as a Board agent in regards to collective bargaining agreements and labor law violations against or by state workers, public school employees and employees of the University of California and California State University Systems.
